Maintenance Manager
Lead the Maintenance Team in supporting process, production, and capital projects with a focus on safety, compliance, and operational efficiency of assets.

What You’ll Do
​Safety:
-
Lead the Maintenance Team towards LA-CO Safety Goals.
-
Participate in Safety Audits on a regular frequency both formally and informally
-
Manage Maintenance Safety projects to meet safety goals and improve safety performance of people and assets.
-
Participate in and provide technical information for incident investigations.
-
Assure that work instructions and training documents cover appropriate EH&S matters.
-
Develop and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines
-
Conduct regular health and safety risk assessments to identify building/equipment hazard.
Maintenance:
-
Responsible for hiring and directing the activities of technical and non-technical maintenance employees.
-
Oversee the delegation of tasks to maintenance personnel to ensure smooth business operations.
-
Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of a company’s equipment and facilities.
-
Manage the contracting and supervision of temporary or third-party personnel to ensure duties are effectively performed.
-
Manage and own Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) System which reduce the risk of equipment failure and maximize productivity.

Provide a critical review of new project installations to assure adherence to Maintenance Best Practices.

Provide training for new or existing processes where technical background is required.

Work with Engineering to conduct research to identify new and advanced equipment that will serve as better alternatives for the replacement or upgrade of machines.

Keep accurate record of maintenance activities and provide reports to management on daily/weekly/monthly operations.

Ensure that all maintenance/testing operations are in accordance with acceptable standards.

Manage the process of disposal of worn-out/damaged machinery as well as the installation of new equipment.

Participate and Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to remove failure modes from assets.
Buildings & Grounds:
-
Develop and implement procedures/policies for effective property maintenance.
-
Conduct regular inspection of building facilities to ensure they are operational and efficient.

Supervise the activities of a building upkeep personnel to ensure they maintain a clean and orderly facility.
Operations:
-
Understand and report on daily KPIs to help drive priorities and decisions for the day.

Do periodic rounds on equipment based on KPI performance to identify/troubleshoot issues.
-
Help Operations troubleshoot using sound analytical troubleshooting methods.
Engineering/CapEx:
-
Manage capital investment projects overseeing budgets of up to $250k while providing progress updates and incorporating director-level feedback.
Economic/Financial:
-
Oversee the management of maintenance budget, expenses, and equipment depreciation.

Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary to ensure availability of required technological resources.

Provide technical process analysis for material and overhead variances in the area
-
Responsible for continuous improvement plans related to material usage variances, energy savings, etc.

Contribute to the area’s 3-year capital planning process.

Generates ECNs for standards changes.
-
Investigates and resolves material and overhead variances.
Qualifications and Requirements:
-
High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associates or Bachelors’ Degree Preferred.

10+ Years of Maintenance experience
-
5+ Years Maintenance Manager / Supervisor / Lead preferred
-
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite software.
-
Proficiency with Excel and other analytical required
-
Experience working with ERP
-
Experience working with AutoCAD
-
Routine math literacy at maintenance professional level.
-
Ability to use data to make effective resource and cost decisions.
Working Environment:
-
This position performs work duties primarily in an office environment and occasionally work in a manufacturing floor environment. Occasional handling of hazardous materials requiring proper safeguards, procedures and personal protective equipment is required ​

Requires office hours during core business hours of 9:00 to 4:00. Regular remote work is not possible at this time but may be considered in the future.
